I had dinner here last night after seeing a movie at the Grand Lake. Service was friendly, swift, and efficient. Things have definitely changed a lot since the days of Boot and Shoe service, but the core of the menu is still similar and based primarily on pasta and pizzas. I’m rooting for the folks who took over this space from the creep who owned Boot and Shoe, and will go back in the future. My only issue is with the wine selections, which were challenging to say the least. I know people who love “natural” wines have a lot say to defend their love of funky wines, unfortunately I think this is mostly BS. If a wine tastes bad or requires an explanation of why it seems flawed, it’s just simply not worth serving. I could go on and on, instead I think it’s easiest to say give the people what they want and just serve a decent Pinot, Chianti, or any wine that isn’t flawed with Brett, TCA, etc.

Food was good. Came out too fast. Table was in the middle of aisle. Got bumped 10 times. Hostess was great

Very simple and basic with very high ceiling sitting area in the back. Tasty ice tea. Very Large wall painting. Not too crowded compared to other cafes in the area.
